Come Rescue Me

Here at Dogma Pet Supply and Dog Wash™ we are passionate about animal adoption and rescue. Roughly 6-8 million animals enter animal shelters every year in the United States. Of these, only half will find new, forever homes. If you are considering adoption, Found Animals® is a great resource for answering any questions you may have about rescue, and by entering your zip code on their homepage, it will lead you to animals available in your area.

Many shelter pets were once owned by individuals or families and were relinquished to a shelter through no fault of their own. Animal care centers, like the Evergreen Animal Protective League, have a variety of pets from many different breeds – many who are well-socialized, healthy and happy. Although your community may have reputable breeders who are aware of the pet over-population problem and breed responsibly, with so many relinquished pets, you will also find a rescue group for just about every breed of cat and dog. A rescue group in your area will usually have pets ranging in age from puppies and kittens to senior pets. Remember that by adopting, you are saving a life.
